Dedicated Commons would mainly benefit a Boros (red-white) planeswalker-heavy midrange, control, or “Superfriends” deck, where you regularly control a planeswalker and can make it enter untapped; however, it is generally worse than established dual lands because its untapped condition is narrow and planeswalkers usually do not come down early enough to support your opening turns. Sacred Foundry is better when you can afford the 2 life, while Battlefield Forge is usually better for budget decks because it enters untapped immediately, and Inspiring Vantage, Clifftop Retreat, or Needleverge Pathway are also more reliable depending on the deck’s land count and mana needs. Dedicated Commons might be acceptable in a casual or budget planeswalker-themed deck, but it should not see serious constructed play unless the format lacks better Boros lands or its rarity and price make it exceptionally cheap.
