A deck that focuses on tempo and disruption would benefit from using Gossamer Phantasm, as it can be a cheap evasive threat that can potentially disrupt an opponent's plans by forcing them to use a spell or ability to target it, leading to its sacrifice. However, there are better options available such as Delver of Secrets, which provides a more consistent threat and doesn't have the drawback of self-sacrifice. Overall, Gossamer Phantasm may not see much play in competitive decks due to its vulnerability, but it could find a niche in more casual or budget decks looking for a unique flying creature with a disruptive ability.
