Aetherstorm Roc would be a great addition to a white-based aggressive deck that focuses on generating and utilizing energy counters. Its ability to generate energy counters upon creature entry and its combat ability to tap and grow stronger make it a versatile threat. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering, there are more efficient options available, such as Archangel Avacyn, which provides immediate impact and protection. Aetherstorm Roc may struggle to see play in more competitive settings due to its higher mana cost and slower payoff compared to other options.
