Synthoids would fit best in a blue-based artifact or graveyard-synergy deck that values surveil to fuel recursion, reanimation, delve, escape, or cards that care about noncreature artifacts (such as Emry, Lurker of the Loch, Thought Monitor, or affinity-style shells), since surveil 2 helps smooth draws and stock the graveyard while leaving behind an artifact body for synergies like improvise or sacrifice effects; however, at two mana it competes with stronger options like Baleful Strix (card draw and deathtouch), Evangel of Synthesis (draw plus discard synergy), Silver Raven (cheaper artifact with scry), or Ledger Shredder (repeatable connive), which generally provide more impactful or repeatable value, so unless the body has unusually strong stats for its cost or there is a very specific artifact-surveil synergy to exploit, A.I.M.
