However, in a competitive setting, there are more efficient cards that provide similar effects for a lower cost, such as Hornet Queen or Avenger of Zendikar. Crush of Wurms may not see much play in highly optimized decks due to its high mana cost and the availability of better alternatives.

You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.
