Doorman would fit best in an aggressive green-based deck that wants to push combat damage through small blockers—something like Stompy, +1/+1 counters aggro, or a go-tall strategy built around one large, evasive threat—since his ability effectively makes your key attacker unblockable against token swarms, mana dorks, utility creatures, and most Walls. He’s especially useful in formats or metas filled with low-power creatures (e.g., white weenie, tokens, or defensive wall decks), where repeatedly granting pseudo-evasion can close games. However, there are generally stronger and more efficient options: **Rancor** provides repeatable trample and a power boost for just one mana, **Trailblazer’s Boots** gives near-unblockability in many formats, **Whispersilk Cloak** offers full unblockability plus protection, and creatures like **Surrak, the Hunt Caller** or **Champion of Lambholt** can make your team harder or impossible to block more explosively.
