Fledgling Griffin would be a great addition to a white-based aggro or midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering that focuses on landfall triggers. While it offers a temporary flying ability, there are stronger options like Skyclave Apparition or Archon of Emeria that provide more impactful effects for a similar mana cost and better board presence. Fledgling Griffin could see play in a casual or budget deck, but in a competitive setting, there are more efficient cards to consider.

The landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability (such as Rampant Growth) causes you to put a land onto the battlefield under your control. It will even trigger when a spell or ability causes another player to put a land onto the battlefield under your control (as can happen with Yavimaya Dryad’s ability, for example).
