This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on creatures with high toughness, such as a defensive or ramp strategy. While Kin-Tree Invocation can create a powerful Spirit Warrior token based on the greatest toughness among your creatures, there may be better options like Huatli, the Sun's Heart or Trostani Discordant which provide additional benefits or synergies for a similar cost. However, Kin-Tree Invocation could still see play in a deck that can reliably have high-toughness creatures on the battlefield.

The value of X is determined only once, as Kin-Tree Invocation resolves. The power and toughness of the Spirit Warrior token doesn’t later change if the greatest toughness among creatures you control changes.
