A control deck that focuses on removing creatures and gaining card advantage would benefit from using Overwhelming Forces in Magic: the Gathering. However, there are arguably better options such as Damnation or Toxic Deluge, which offer similar board wipe effects at a lower mana cost, making them more efficient choices for competitive play.
