Photon, Mighty Marvel fits best in aggressive red-based Commander decks—especially Izzet, Jeskai, or mono-red builds—that can reliably grant extra combat steps, double strike, or evasion boosts to maximize combat damage and convert it into explosive mana for big post-combat plays like X-spells, extra combats, or large finishers (e.g., *Comet Storm*, *Crackle with Power*, or *Aggravated Assault*). It would particularly shine in decks that can consistently connect and scale damage, such as Voltron or spellslinger-combat hybrids.
