A tribal deck focusing on a specific creature type would benefit most from Kindred Dominance, as it can effectively clear the board of opposing creatures that don't share the chosen type. However, for a more versatile and efficient option, the card Damnation could be considered as it destroys all creatures for the same mana cost without the restriction of creature type. Kindred Dominance could see play in tribal decks looking for a flavorful and thematic board wipe option, but Damnation may be a more competitive choice in a wider range of decks.

Once Kindred Dominance begins to resolve, no players may take other actions until it’s done. Notably, players can’t try to save their creatures after you’ve chosen a creature type.

You can’t choose multiple creature types, such as “Cat Warrior.” A Cat Warrior is both a Cat and a Warrior. It’s affected by anything that affects either type and unaffected by things that affect non-Cat or non-Warrior creatures.
