This card would be beneficial in a ramp or landfall deck, allowing for additional mana generation and potentially turning creatures into lands for additional resources. However, there are better alternatives like Rampant Growth or Kodama's Reach that provide more consistent ramp without the drawback of losing creature abilities. While Wrath of Sod Playtest has a unique effect, its limitations may make it less favorable for competitive play compared to established ramp cards.
