Forum Necroscribe fits best in a black-based spells-matter or aristocrats-style midrange deck that plays a high density of targeted instants and sorceries (removal like Go for the Throat, Infernal Grasp, Cut Down, or pump/protection spells in more aggressive shells) so you can repeatedly trigger Repartee and reanimate value creatures such as ETB threats, sacrifice fodder, or utility creatures; it pairs especially well with cheap self-targeting tricks to loop your own creatures for value. However, at six mana (5B) with no immediate board impact unless you already have a spell to cast, it competes with far more efficient reanimation engines like Sheoldred, Whispering One, Junji, the Midnight Sky, or classic reanimation spells such as Reanimate, Animate Dead, Persist, or The Cruelty of Gix, which are faster and more reliable.
