This card would be a great addition to a Orzhov (White-Black) lifegain deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a steady stream of life gain and punishes opponents for each of your creatures that die. While Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim is a solid choice for such a deck, there are potentially more powerful options like Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose that offer additional utility and synergy.
