While the ability to conjure a Mox Ruby can provide additional mana acceleration, there are likely better options for a one-drop creature in this type of deck, such as Savannah Lions or Soldier of the Pantheon, which offer immediate board presence and pressure. Overall, Ruby Collector may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its conditional ability and the availability of stronger one-drops for aggressive strategies.
