A deck that focuses on creature recursion or ETB (enter the battlefield) effects would benefit from using Saltskitter, as it can repeatedly trigger those effects. However, there are better options available, such as Restoration Angel or Flickerwisp, which offer similar abilities but with more control and flexibility. Saltskitter could see play in a casual or themed deck, but in competitive settings, it may not be the most optimal choice.

If a creature enters the battlefield after “at the beginning of the end step” abilities have triggered during that turn, Saltskitter won’t return to the battlefield until the end of the following turn.
