Shimmer Myr is a valuable addition to artifact-heavy decks, particularly those focused on combo strategies or instant-speed plays. Its ability to grant flash to all artifact spells can provide surprise plays and enable synergies that require immediate activation. While Shimmer Myr is a solid inclusion, some decks may prefer the more versatile Vedalken Orrery, which grants flash to all spells, not just artifacts. Ultimately, Shimmer Myr should see play in decks looking to maximize their artifact synergies and capitalize on instant-speed interactions.

Once you announce that you’re casting a spell, players can’t attempt to remove Shimmer Myr from the battlefield to make that casting illegal. Removing Shimmer My after you’ve cast a spell won’t affect that spell.
