Spatial Contortion would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on tempo and disruption, particularly in a colorless or Eldrazi-themed deck where colorless mana is abundant. While it can provide a significant power boost to your creature or weaken an opponent's creature, there are better options available such as Dismember, which offers more flexibility and can deal with indestructible creatures. Spatial Contortion could see play in specific metagames where its effect is particularly relevant, but it may not be a staple in most decks.
