Sunderflock would fit best in a mono‑blue or Simic (blue‑green) Elemental tribal deck that can consistently land high–mana‑value Elementals (like Omnath variants, Risen Reef, or large top‑end Elementals) to dramatically reduce its cost, effectively turning it into a discounted, one‑sided mass bounce finisher that clears blockers while leaving your board intact; it especially suits ramp‑heavy Commander builds where Elemental synergies and high mana curves are common. However, compared to existing options, it faces stiff competition: Cyclonic Rift is generally stronger due to instant speed and overload flexibility, Devastation Tide and River’s Rebuke offer cheaper or more asymmetrical bounce effects, and Hullbreaker Horror provides repeatable bounce while being harder to answer.
