Tectonic Split may be beneficial in a ramp-style deck that wants to accelerate mana production quickly, as it provides a significant boost in mana with the added benefit of hexproof. However, the high cost of sacrificing lands may not always be worth the payoff, especially if the player is heavily reliant on lands for other purposes. Other cards like Boundless Realms or Zendikar Resurgent might offer more value without the drawback of sacrificing lands, making them better options in most scenarios, but Tectonic Split could still see situational play in decks that prioritize mana acceleration over land preservation.
