A deck that focuses on land manipulation and synergy, such as a control or ramp deck, would benefit from including Terraformer in its strategy. While Terraformer can be useful for changing land types temporarily, there are more efficient cards like Blood Moon or Prismatic Omen that offer similar effects with greater impact. Terraformer may not see as much play due to its higher cost and limited scope compared to other land-changing cards available in Magic: The Gathering.

Lands you control will have the mana ability of the basic land type you choose (for example, Forests can tap to produce green mana) and will lose all other innate abilities they had.
