However, the card's effectiveness would depend on the presence of valuable Equipment in the deck. While it is a situational card, there are stronger options like Act of Treason or Threaten that provide similar effects at a lower cost, making Unexpected Request less likely to see consistent play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks.
