With Knowledge Pool, any card the opponent casts will be exiled, and they can cast an exiled spell without paying the cost. Because of Teferi's ability, your opponents can only play spells any time they can cast a sorcery. This means that players cannot play spells on the stack responding to effects and abilities. Because of that, this combo creates a lock where opponents cannot cast spells.
