A deck that focuses on gaining life would benefit from including Cliffhaven Vampire, as its ability to drain opponents' life whenever you gain life can provide a strong win condition. However, there are potentially better cards for this strategy, such as Sanguine Bond, which can create a more explosive life-draining effect. Cliffhaven Vampire could still see play in decks looking for a consistent incremental life-drain effect.
