However, in a competitive environment, there are more efficient and powerful counterspells like Counterspell or Force of Will that would be better choices. Common Courtesy could be a fun and flavorful addition to a casual or themed deck, but it may not see much play in more competitive settings due to its specific conditions and higher mana cost.
