Verzehrendes Licht, Spontanzauber, entworfen von Pete Venters Erstveröffentlichung in Oct, 2005 bei der Bearbeitung Ravnica: City of Guilds und wurde genau in gedruckt 9 verschiedene Formen. Es wird derzeit zum niedrigsten Preis von verkauft Fr 0.02.

Ein Deck, das sich auf weiße Weenie-Aggro-Strategien konzentriert, würde davon profitieren, Devouring Light einzuschließen, da es eine effiziente Entfernung für angreifende oder blockende Kreaturen bietet und möglicherweise auch zu einem reduzierten Preis durch Konvoke gewirkt werden kann. In einer wettbewerbsorientierten Umgebung könnten jedoch Karten wie Path to Exile oder Swords to Plowshares aufgrund ihrer Vielseitigkeit und ihres geringeren Manakosten als bessere Optionen betrachtet werden, was es weniger wahrscheinlich macht, dass Devouring Light in Top-Decks gespielt wird.

If a creature you control has a mana ability with in the cost, activating that ability while casting a spell with convoke will result in the creature being tapped before you pay the spell’s costs. You won’t be able to tap it again for convoke. Similarly, if you sacrifice a creature to activate a mana ability while casting a spell with convoke, that creature won’t be on the battlefield when you pay the spell’s costs, so you won’t be able to tap it for convoke.

You can tap any untapped creature you control to convoke a spell, even one you haven’t controlled continuously since the beginning of your most recent turn.
