Dreamcatcher would be most beneficial in a Spirit or Arcane tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as these decks often rely on casting multiple spells of those types. However, there are better cards with similar effects, such as Curious Homunculus, which transforms into Voracious Reader when you cast an instant or sorcery spell, providing card advantage without the need to sacrifice the creature. While Dreamcatcher adds additional card draw potential, its reliance on sacrificing the creature may make it less desirable compared to more efficient options.
