However, for a more competitive deck, cards like Winding Constrictor or Hardened Scales might be better choices due to their ability to double the number of counters placed on creatures, making them more impactful in the long run. Expanding Ooze could still see play in more casual or thematic decks focused on +1/+1 counters.
