A control or tempo deck that can afford to stall the opponent's mana development may benefit from using Land Cap. However, there are better options like Celestial Colonnade or Glacial Fortress, which provide mana fixing without the drawback of depletion counters. In most cases, Land Cap would not see play due to its limitations and better alternatives available in the format.
