Decks that can easily fill their graveyard with cards of different mana values, such as a Golgari or Sultai midrange deck, would find value in using Long Rest to replenish their hand and potentially gain life. However, there are better options available such as Seasons Past or Wildest Dreams which offer more flexibility and value in terms of card advantage and recursion, making Long Rest less likely to see play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
