A deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's hand and graveyard, such as a Dimir Control or Grixis Midrange deck, would benefit from using Memory Theft in Magic: the Gathering. While Memory Theft can be useful in certain situations, there are better cards like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek that offer more consistent hand disruption. Memory Theft could see play in more casual or themed decks, but in competitive settings, there are stronger options available.

An effect may refer to a card, spell, or permanent that “has an Adventure.” This refers to a card, spell, or permanent that has an adventurer card’s set of alternative characteristics, even if they’re not being used and even if that card was never cast as an Adventure.
