This Noble Elephant card could be beneficial in a white-based aggro deck that focuses on overwhelming the opponent with a mix of powerful creatures and combat tricks. While the banding ability can provide some tactical advantages in combat situations, there are more efficient and impactful cards available in the current Magic: the Gathering card pool that could better serve a competitive deck. Overall, Noble Elephant may not see much play in highly optimized decks due to its relatively high mana cost and the existence of stronger options.

If a creature with banding attacks, it can team up with any number of other attacking creatures with banding (and up to one nonbanding creature) and attack as a unit called a “band.” The band can be blocked by any creature that could block a single creature in the band. Blocking any creature in a band blocks the entire band. If a creature with banding is blocked, the attacking player chooses how the blockers’ damage is assigned.
