A deck that focuses on instant and sorcery spells, such as a control or spell-slinger deck, would benefit from using Precognition Field in Magic: the Gathering. While Precognition Field allows you to cast instant and sorcery spells from the top of your library, it may be outshined by cards like Future Sight, which allows you to play any card from the top of your library, not just instants and sorceries. However, Precognition Field could still see play in decks looking to manipulate the top of their library and take advantage of casting spells without drawing them first.

Precognition Field lets you look at the top card of your library whenever you want (with one restriction—see below), even if you don’t have priority. This action doesn’t use the stack. Knowing what that card is becomes part of the information you have access to, just like you can look at the cards in your hand.
