Inkling Mascot would fit best in an Orzhov (white-black) spells-matter or tempo-oriented deck that runs a high density of cheap instants and sorceries that target creatures—such as removal (e.g., *Infernal Grasp*), combat tricks, protection spells, or auras—so you can repeatedly trigger its Repartee ability for incremental value through temporary evasion and Surveil 1 to smooth draws or fuel graveyard synergies. It would be most at home in a midrange or tempo shell that benefits from card selection and occasional evasive pressure, possibly alongside cards that care about the graveyard or noncreature spell casting. However, compared to stronger, more efficient payoff creatures like *Monastery Mentor*, *Young Pyromancer*, or even evasive, resilient threats like *Sedgemoor Witch*, Inkling Mascot is likely underpowered unless it has very efficient stats or a low mana cost, since gaining flying temporarily and surveilling 1 is relatively modest value.
