Nightmare's Thirst would be beneficial in a black deck that focuses on gaining life, as it can act as both a removal spell and a way to weaken opposing creatures. Decks that have synergies with life gain, such as lifelink creatures or cards that reward gaining life, would make the most out of this card. However, in more aggressive or combo-focused decks that don't prioritize life gain, Nightmare's Thirst may not be as impactful compared to other removal spells like Fatal Push or Dismember.
