**Follow the Lumarets** would fit best in a green-based midrange or lifegain deck that consistently gains life on its own turn (such as Selesnya or Abzan builds with incidental life from creatures, lifelink, or cards like *Soul Warden*–style effects), because reliably turning it into a two-card selection spell makes it strong card advantage at only two mana; it’s especially appealing in creature-heavy lists (28+ creatures) that also want to hit land drops early. However, compared to similar cards, it faces stiff competition: *Collected Company* (in creature-dense decks) provides much higher battlefield impact, *Once Upon a Time* (in older formats where legal) offers free selection, and *Commune with Nature* or *Adventurous Impulse* are more efficient at one mana for pure consistency, while *Lead the Stampede* can generate greater raw advantage in go-wide creature decks.
