**Stomped by the Foot** fits best in a black-based sacrifice/aristocrats shell—especially Rakdos or Orzhov decks that generate expendable artifacts (Treasure, Blood, Clues) or creature tokens—because it can function as a cheap -2/-2 early while upgrading to -5/-5 when you cash in a disposable permanent, synergizing with death triggers and fodder like Bloodghast or Doomed Traveler. That said, it’s generally outclassed in most formats: **Fatal Push** is more efficient and often kills larger threats for one mana, **Dismember** gives -5/-5 at instant speed without needing fodder, **Infernal Grasp** and **Go for the Throat** provide unconditional removal, and **Tragic Slip** can be stronger in sacrifice decks. This card would mainly see play in limited or very synergy-driven aristocrats builds where the sacrifice is an upside; otherwise, more efficient or unconditional removal spells are usually better choices.
