A deck that focuses on tempo and disruption would benefit from using Crystal Shard in Magic: the Gathering, as it can help control the board by bouncing opponent's creatures back to their hand. However, Crystal Shard can still see play in decks that require additional bounce effects or want to slow down aggressive strategies.
