This card can generate a significant number of 1/1 Insect tokens when combined with other cards that place -1/-1 counters, providing a valuable source of creature tokens. While there may be more powerful cards for this strategy, such as Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs can still be a solid inclusion in the right deck and could see play in a casual or budget build looking to capitalize on -1/-1 counter interactions.
