A Lantern of Insight would be most beneficial in a control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's strategy by manipulating their library and potentially forcing them to shuffle at inopportune times. While Lantern of Insight can be a unique and disruptive tool, there are arguably better cards like Lantern of Insight's big brother, Lantern of Insight, which offers a more powerful effect and sees more play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks. However, if used strategically, Lantern of Insight can still find a place in certain niche decks that rely on library manipulation and disruption.
