A deck that benefits from Stinging Study would be a Commander deck with a high mana value commander that focuses on drawing cards and doesn't mind losing life as a resource. This card could be useful in decks that have ways to gain life back or can win quickly after drawing a significant number of cards. However, there are better cards like Necropotence or Phyrexian Arena that provide card advantage without the downside of losing life based on your commander's mana value, making them more efficient options for most decks. Overall, Stinging Study could see play in specific niche decks, but in general, there are better alternatives available.
