The Aether Flues would mainly benefit a creature-heavy Commander or casual Planechase deck built around sacrifice fodder, token creatures, enter-the-battlefield effects, and powerful creatures—especially decks such as Golgari or Jund aristocrats, creature-toolbox strategies, or reanimator shells—because sacrificing a disposable creature can cheat a random creature from the library onto the battlefield, while the chaos ability provides additional free creatures from hand. However, it is only usable in Planechase or other casual formats, not ordinary Constructed play, and its random reveal is less reliable than alternatives such as **Birthing Pod**, which tutors for a specific creature repeatedly, **Survival of the Fittest**, which finds creatures while enabling graveyard strategies, or **Sneak Attack**, which gives much more immediate control and impact.
