This Thunderbond Vanguard card would be excellent in a deck that focuses on creating a wide board presence with multiple creatures, such as a token-based strategy or a tribal deck with many creature types. It can quickly grow in power based on the number of creatures you control and can create an army of powerful creature tokens. In comparison, there are stronger cards for similar strategies like Craterhoof Behemoth, which grants trample and a huge power boost to all creatures, making it a more impactful finisher. However, Thunderbond Vanguard could still see play in decks looking for redundancy or additional synergy with its token-copying ability.
