Thundering Tanadon could be a valuable addition to a green-heavy deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly and has ways to gain life to offset the 2 life payment option. Its trample ability can be useful for getting damage through to your opponent's creatures or face. However, there are potentially better options available, such as Primeval Titan or Carnage Tyrant, which offer more value for their mana cost and have additional abilities that can impact the game more significantly. Overall, Thundering Tanadon may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its relatively high cost and limited impact compared to other options available.
