Magic: The Gathering's new Un-Set, Unfinity, received its first information today via the Wizards official website.

The new set, which is themed carnival and space travel, received several details of what we can expect:

Starting with a big difference between this and the other Un-Sets we've had in the game, Unfinity will have cards that will be legal in eternal formats (Commander, Legacy and Vintage), and the way in which players will be able to distinguish which cards are legal and which ones aren't will be through the holographic symbol present on the lower edge of the card:

Cards that have The holographic symbol in the shape of an acorn will not be legal, while cards that have the normal holographic symbol, or do not have the holographic symbol, will be legal in eternal formats.

For example:

Killer Cosplay is not legal in eternal formats, while Saw in Half is legal in Legacy, Vintage and Commander.

The set will feature 30 Legendary cards and 2 Planeswalkers, who will receive a special Showcase treatment.

In addition, the set will also feature the traditional Full-Art Lands, this time with two variants:

Shocklands will be reprinted with special treatment and borderless artwork, and will appear in one in twenty-four draft boosters on the set, and one in twenty-four times in the two Collector Boosters foil slots. In addition, every box, whether Draft or Collector Booster, will come with a Box Topper that includes a Borderless Foil Shockland!

Unfinity will be reelased on April, 1, 2022.
