Opal Champion sarebbe un ottimo aggiunta a un mazzo di incantesimi basato sul bianco in Magic: the Gathering, specialmente in una strategia di controllo o midrange dove puoi interrompere le mosse delle creature del tuo avversario. Mentre Opal Champion offre una capacità unica di sorprendere gli avversari con una improvvisa creatura Cavaliere 3/3, ci sono opzioni più forti come Starfield Mystic o Archon of Sun's Grace che forniscono un valore più consistente nei mazzi focalizzati sugli incantesimi. A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.

It triggers when the spell is cast, so it becomes a creature before the spell resolves. A creature that would destroy an enchantment when it enters the battlefield can’t be used to destroy this card, since it will no longer be an enchantment when the creature enters the battlefield.
