Demonio fantasmal, Criatura - ilusión, diseñada por Scott Kirschner lanzado por primera vez en Jun, 1996 en edición Alliances y fue impreso exactamente en 6 diferentes formas. Actualmente se vende al precio más bajo de € 0.22.

Phantasmal Fiend encajaría bien en un mazo de control o tempo que aproveche las ilusiones y la manipulación, ya que su capacidad para cambiar el poder y la resistencia puede crear escenarios de combate ventajosos o protegerlo de la eliminación. Sin embargo, puede que no sea la opción más eficiente en comparación con cartas como Delver of Secrets o Snapcaster Mage, que ofrecen valor y utilidad más consistentes por costos de maná similares. Si bien Phantasmal Fiend puede ser una inclusión divertida y sorprendente, sus habilidades específicas pueden limitar su jugabilidad en formatos competitivos, lo que lo convierte en una opción más situacional que un elemento básico.
