Puppet Crafting would mainly benefit a casual or Commander deck built around artifacts and/or non-Aura enchantments—especially one with powerful utility permanents that can become attackers, sacrifice outlets, or targets for artifact- and creature-based synergies—while its graveyard ability gives it useful late-game resilience. However, it is vulnerable to both Aura removal and creature removal, and paying {4}{G} to return it is fairly expensive; for artifact-focused decks, **Ensoul Artifact** is generally better because it costs the same total mana, turns an artifact into a 5/5 immediately, and is a well-established aggressive option, while **Darksteel Mutation** or **Song of the Dryads** are better if the goal is to neutralize an opposing permanent rather than animate your own. Puppet Crafting could see play in casual or synergistic green artifact/enchantment decks, particularly if the recursion matters, but it is unlikely to be strong enough for competitive Constructed play and shou
