Aunque puede ser una herramienta útil para redirigir hechizos o habilidades clave hacia sí mismo, existen opciones potencialmente mejores como Spellskite, que puede redirigir cualquier hechizo o habilidad, no solo los dirigidos. Si Mizzium Meddler debería usarse dependería de la estrategia específica y del meta del mazo, ya que ofrece un efecto único que puede ser poderoso en determinadas situaciones.
