Detener el tiempo, Instantáneo, diseñada por Scott M. Fischer lanzado por primera vez en Oct, 2004 en edición Champions of Kamigawa y fue impreso exactamente en 6 diferentes formas. Actualmente se vende al precio más bajo de € 1.83.

Un mazo de control centrado en interrumpir la estrategia del oponente y mantener el control del tablero se beneficiaría al usar Time Stop en Magic: the Gathering. Aunque Time Stop puede ser una herramienta poderosa para detener el turno del oponente y prevenir jugadas clave, es una carta de alto costo que no siempre es la elección más eficiente. Cartas como Time Walk o Nexus of Fate pueden ofrecer un mejor valor para efectos similares, lo que hace que Time Stop sea menos probable de verse en mazos competitivos.

Ending the turn this way means the following things happen in order: 1) All spells and abilities on the stack are exiled. This includes Time Stop, though it will continue to resolve. It also includes spells and abilities that can’t be countered. 2) All attacking and blocking creatures are removed from combat. 3) State-based actions are checked. No player gets priority, and no triggered abilities are put onto the stack. 4) The current phase and/or step ends. The game skips straight to the cleanup step. The cleanup step happens in its entirety.

Exiling a spell or ability prevents that spell or ability from resolving, but it doesn’t technically “counter” anything. This means that Time Stop can exile spells and abilities that “can’t be countered.”
